6-cylinder automatic 2WD

Volkswagen Passat in California, United States
Jul 2006 - Nov 2007
98000 mi US $100 Engine flood relating to a bad coolant temp sensor in extremely cold (-10 to -20F) conditions. Also diagnosed a rather significant oil leak (~4qts per 5k mi), however, that will not be rectified until March due to time and money. Diagnosed an oil leak (from cam chain and valve cover gaskets). Will be fixed in March
100000   Valve and cam gaskets
105000   Water pump (not the orginal part, but an OEM replacement) bearing was going out. You may see a bunch of these as the OEM "new" replacement waterpumps are refubs.
117000   Airbag light went on. Cleared and did not return. $25 for code clear Problem with bank 1 cat warmup, either O2s or cat. Will still pass emissions with some "love." Likely cause by an engine flood in January.
