2018 Volkswagen Tiguan Love Letter

I was on the fence as to whether I should keep my former car, a trouble free 2014 Honda Pilot with 92,000 miles that I loved or trade it in, given a good price I was being offered. I decided to keep it until my son and brother, both car guys (I'm kind of not) convinced me to drive the Tiguan. I loved it and wound up buying it. With VW's incentives I paid $26,000 for a car that came pretty well loaded. The only two options I cared about were all wheel drive and a panaramic sun roof and was pleasantly surprised it came with heated leather seats, collission and blind spot warning system, heated mirrors, a choice of drive modes (Snow, Normal and off Road) and Apple Car Play. It's opbviously not a roomy as my Pilot, but has plaenty of front a rear legroom and space behind the back seat. I considered getting a third row of seats, but there was so little room for whoever would sit in those seats that I decided against it. The 4 cylinder turbo provides more than enough power. Finally, I was impressed with the quality of materials. I don't see anything in the car that seems cheap. VW's 6 year 72,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty sealed the deal for me.

I looked at quite a few comparable cars prior to buying this, and was hard pressed to find more car for the money. If you're in the market for a small to mid size SUV, this one is worth a look.
