Pontiac G6 Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 4dr Sedan 164-horsepower 2.4L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
I opted to get the 4 cylinder 6 speed automatic because of the higher EPA rating and I have a fairly long commute to and from work. see full Pontiac G6 review
2007 4dr Sedan 169-horsepower 2.4L I4
4-speed automatic FWD
Getting 25 city miles see full Pontiac G6 review
2007 2dr Coupe 224-horsepower 3.5L V6
4-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Amazingly it gets 30+ on the highway. I usually drive in stop-and-go traffic but still get 20 mpg easily. see full Pontiac G6 review
2006 4dr Sedan 201-horsepower 3.5L V6
4-speed automatic FWD
Even with a 6 cylinder, and my overzealous driving, I regularly got 28-29 MPG. This is a mix of highway and city driving in a very hilly area. see full Pontiac G6 review

2008 4dr Sedan 219-horsepower 3.5L V6

The V6 I drove had MPG ratings slightly worse than the 4-cyl models I was looking at. see full Pontiac G6 review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Real Gas Mileage of the Cadillac DTS

Cadillac DTS Real Gas Mileage: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2009 4dr Sedan 275-horsepower 4.6L V8
4-speed automatic FWD
I bought this car almost specifically for my "road" car, for trips, but do occasionally use it around town. I don't know how the other reviewers are driving their cars but I get what I think is great mileage, mid-teens around town and 28-29mgh on trips/hwy at 75MPH. I do try to drive easy to enhance my mileage. see full Cadillac DTS review
2006 4dr Sedan 275-horsepower 4.6L V8
4-speed automatic FWD
Great Milage for the level of comfort, 25 plus on trips. see full Cadillac DTS review
2006 4dr Sedan 275-horsepower 4.6L V8
4-speed automatic FWD
Great on the highway. At 65 I get a consistant 25mpg. The city is an entirely different story. In stop and go city driving, the best I've ever gotten is 10mpg. The average is 8mpg. The EPA estimates 17 in the city. They are off their rocker. This car sucks gas in city driving. Stay away unless you have tons of money or own an oil refinery. see full Cadillac DTS review

Terrible in the city. 8 mpg on average. At least it takes regular. see full Cadillac DTS review
2006 4dr Sedan 275-horsepower 4.6L V8

City gas mileage is pathetic. Since new I was lucky to get 10 mpg in the city, but in stop and go it's 8 mpg. When the car was newer, I took it to the dealer, and they checked everything out. I was told that it's a big V8. The Northstar engine is an embarrassment. see full Cadillac DTS review
