The windshield was cracked when I bought this car, so I had it replaced. The broken windshield significantly depressed the price of the car, which was nice... Their replies as to why they had not fixed the windshield were a little cagey... After buying the car, I learned that cracked windshields are a repeat problem in some Scion Xb's of this era. In retrospect I figured the owner must have had enough of the problem, and didn't want to fix yet another windshield. So far my windshield has held for five months... Crossing my fingers! |

Lost one wheel cover while driving. Originals cracked and worn. Replaced all 4 with aftermarket brands. Much better fit and greater visual appeal. |
165000 mi US $100 |
Water leaking into car from windshield upper left and upper right. Sealed with polyurethane black roofing rubber caulk. The leak was caused by a poor windshield replacement job. Not enough adhesive was used to seal the sides of the windshield. |
167000 mi US $77 |
Drivers door handle snapped when I tried to open door. I ordered a new door handle with matching paint. I replaced it myself. |

Like thousands of others, had to replace my rear hatch handle/latch (which failed due to inherent design flaw/weaknes)s. Bought substantially better handle from ScionPro, at lower cost, greater warranty, and much higher quality than factory. |

Replaced accessory belts to remedy a squeal. Noise came back shortly afterwards. We'll have to live with it along with the dash squeak. |
85000 mi | Door gasket loose. |
