Emergency brake brake mechanism disintegrated into the driveshaft in a cloud of smoke, and was driven a few hundred yards in that condition to a repair shop. The repair shop had to rebuild the emergency brake system or the LR3 could not be driven. Emergency brake failure caused failure to continue an out of town trip. |
