Timing Chain Buzzing away when pressing on the accelerator pedal, Got the Cloyes Kit from Rock Auto that included all timing chains, tensioners, gears, and new water pump (timing chain driven unfortunately). When pulled the timing chain cover off, found secondary tensioner on passenger side wore right through, the driver's side had worn badly, but not through. secondary chains had excess slack (play), buzzing sound was the tensioner metal plunger that sits behind the plastic chain guide wore right through, metal to metal plunger to chain noise. Now fixed, hopefully lasts another 500,000 kms. Chain was in really good condition, with no chain stretch at all. Remember when doing this job, please follow Nissan's procedure in installing the power steering pump properly. Or you'll get belt noise from that area. All shocks were done, and worn out, drove like a big ship over rough sea. Replaced both front struts as one unit (spring and shock as one assembly) Replaced both front shocks with a Pre-assembled Strut assemblies. Also replaced both rear shocks only at the same time.

C $124
Replaced front brake rotors and pads. Front brake rotor was out of round causing shimming in steering when braking. Replaced both front rotors and pads. Also replaced left spindle from my own fault when I damaged it when I changed the lower ball joints last year. When A/C compressor cycled on, you could hear a hiss inside the dash area. Replaced A/C Evaporator, TX valve and O-rings, also replaced heater core while I was in there. The whole dash and metal bracket and wiring had to come out, right to the fire wall to access the leaking A/C evaporator. While removing the 2 coolant lines going to the heater core, through the engine compartment, broke the plastic fittings. No parts available from Napa, Parts Source, or Bumper to Bumper, or Rock Auto but the dealer had the whole heater core line assembly which was $458 CDN. Was stuck and had to fork out the cash to get my car back on the road. This is a extensive job to do, be ready with a second car if you are thinking of doing such a job. This was my only ride.
