5000 mi Leaves had been sucked into the heater. Sounded like the heater fan had broken apart. This was described in a technical bulletin. Dealer cleaned out the debris and ordered a mesh screen and a new blower motor.

Replaced spark plugs and map sensor. The Cube had a very slight iratic idle that most folks would not notice. After the map sensor was replaced the idle smoothed out, the car fires up much quicker (though I did not realize the start up had slowed with age.), and acceleration has improved.
