Went through 3 sets of rear shocks and 2 sets of front in 128K miles. Overall has been a good vehicle. Stealership repair rates were $5,000 between two trips - had a hose breank and dumped coolant on top of engine, $2500 ish in damage, not covered under extended warranty (!) - then ABS module and suspension all around, etc etc. Ultimately I can't remember it ever leaving my family stranded in about 100,000 miles of ownership. A little afraid of the high dollar repair possibilities going forward, planning to trade up (?) to a refurbished 2002 7.3 Excursion. |
