| 42000 mi | The armature in the starter went bad, so the starter was replaced. The car was out of warranty, a 2013 with 42K miles, at the time of the defect. I initially was told I was beyond the warranty for the repair. I contacted VM Customer Service to state a bad starter after such a short period of time was crazy. After the first person had no resolution, I asked to speak with his supervisor who called the local VW service. They agreed to replace the starter under warranty. I am also a 5 time VW owner which helped. All is well. |
