A/C compressor failure. |
32000 mi | Hard to start after car is idle for 8 hrs. Dealer determined the battery was bad and replaced under warranty. |
5300 mi | The steering wheel audio controls fail to work. This was on the same wiring harness as the airbag. The car had to be held 10 days until the part came in. They did give me a rental car at no charge. |
1240 mi | Issue with the driver door lock. Sometimes, the door wouldn't lock or unlock completely, it was between the 2 positions. The dealer replaced the door lock module. |

Navigation system in a looping reboot. Infotainment system is bricked. Constant miscommunication with dealer service department led to being in their service center for a month waiting for a part. They put in a temporary non-screen radio from a Prius C that looks like it is falling out of the dashboard. Still haven't gotten the part and it has been over two months. Dealer sold me the car with warm A/C when idling. There is a TSB for it to replace the compressor with a different model compressor. They recharged instead, insisting that is the problem instead. This problem is very hard to replicate, so I have been to the dealer 11 times in the past two months. The recharge did not help. Toyota dealer sold me the car with two broken fog lights. The bulbs needed to be replaced, which took less than ten minutes. |
