236-horsepower 4.0L V6 5-speed automatic RWD
28000 mi | The A/C Button Light was flashing. It did it for a couple of weeks, and then when the flashing started the A/C would stop. I had to help them diagnose by using (2) autoforum feedback suggestions. The flashing light was diagnostic, but the Toyota AutoNation dealership did not want to make the diagnosis. I had to use the autoforum feedback and create an e-mail and send it to the service writer to start a written record of the bullshit. The problem was intermittent at first and they would not address it because they couldn't re-create it. The problem arrived 2 months before the warranty ran out - and then it turned out that the A/C compressor had failed along with the sensor. They had to get parts from a dealership in Jacksonville, that dragged the mess out for another 3 days. I am so grateful for autoforums and e-mail to stop the utter rape that dealerships try to get away with. |

Replaced the heater blower motor resistor and electrical connector plug. A common problem with Tacomas. The resistor connector overheats and the blower motor will only operate on high speed. Toyota has superseded the resistor and connector to a new design to correct the problem. |
