Secondary air exhaust system. Error codes p2440 and p0491 at 200 miles on the odometer. Check engine light came on. Replaced combination valve after talking to VW service. Trip 1 Secondary air exhaust system. Error codes p2440 and p0491 at 250 miles on the odometer. Check engine light came on. Replaced hose leading to combination valve after talking to VW service. Trip 2. CEL set to off. Secondary air exhaust system. Error code p0491 the very next day. Check engine light came on. The hose leading to the combination valve was re-fixed as the attachment and removal of it caused it to become loose. Trip 3. | |

After searching the internet, I sprayed in lubricant and pried it back with different items (a sucker stick worked well). The last time I pried it back with a flat head screw driver until I heard a snap. I probably broke the plastic piece but we haven't had the problem since (over a month). |
