Heard and felt thumping when wheels hits sharp bumps. Did not happen when brakes were applied. Had dealer check brake pads/hardware and struts for loose or worn parts. Nothing found.
Solenoids on the rear dampers rusting out. Not covered under warranty as considered "fair wear and tear". No fault codes. Not replaced ($583 each). Problem first noticed in 2018 after vehicle being on the road for only two Canadian winters.
Front suspension creak, especially when cold, going over speed bumps and other road imperfections. Tech couldn't reproduce. Drove with tech, and he heard noise. Was told they would call for repair. Never called.

Suspension creaking sound over speed bumps. Dealer attempted to reproduce, but used speed tables at moderate speed and could not reproduced. Called problem "normal".
18000 mi
US $200
I brought the car in for a buyer inspection. There is a noise coming from the right side of the car. I thought it might be something related to wheel bearing or axle. The mechanic inspected it thoroughly, identified the noise, but could not find the source. He suspects it might be a weldment or other issue with a subframe. I'm going to bring it into the dealer and see what they have to say.
Noise coming from driver front when hitting bumps.
Front struts and sway bar links replaced.
Tires rotated.
36000 mi
Bad strut mount. Replaced under warranty.
83000 mi
US $500
Bad bearings. Replaced all 4 but I believe only 2 were making noise.
Rough ride for past several months. After jacking car up, noticed that the dealer left shipping strut pucks in. Asked for suspension inspection and removal of pucks.
The rear suspension started making a slight, intermittent clattering/clunking noise in Q4 2017. Took car to the dealership to diagnose. Dealer tech acted like he couldn't hear the noise. Left the car for 3 days, returned on 3rd day and was told that noise could not be heard. Took dealer tech for a ride and pointed out the noise, at which point he admitted he could hear it. Dealer service advisor claimed that noise came from rear shock, but were advised by VAG to only replace 1 shock. Was told shock would be special ordered and I would be contacted when it came in. This was over a month ago. Have decided to replace both rear shocks with aftermarket units.
When wheels turned hard right, clicking noise. They used the replace parts approach. First, changed right half shaft. Still had click. Called in factory rep. Replaced steering rack, which was successful.
