16000 mi A/C stopped working, was due to software problems in the Sensus vehicle management system. Software reflash fixed the issue. Vehicle was vibrating when braking, due to warped rotors. Rotors were replaced at no charge. Minor body trim adjustments were made. 
21000 mi A/C cut out again, dealer replaced A/C pressure valve to try to remedy the situation, along with another software update to remedy system rebooting.

2016 and later Volvo XC90s have a separate auxiliary battery that carries electrical load when the Auto Stop/Start system has stopped the engine at street lights, stop signs, etc.... That auxiliary battery failed and caused the Auto Stop/Start system to stop disabling the engine when the car stops, again stop lights, stop signs, etc... Dealer/Volvo declared the auxiliary battery a wear part and would not replace under warranty.

40000 mi This was the 3rd trip for a integral display going blank issue. Software 1st time, Wiring 2nd time then IHU (Integrated Head Unit) replaced 3rd time. All under warranty but would have been over a $5000 repair.

twincharged 313hp 2.0L I4 Plug-in Hybrid 8-speed shiftable automatic AWD

10000 mi The vehicle had a software update @ 10,000 miles to fixed some glitches in the infotainment system. 
8000 mi Outdoor thermometer was inaccurate. Temperature sensor was replaced. 
15000 mi AC Drain line kinked. Backed up onto floor. Corroded some computer connections and fried the vision module. All replaced and fixed under warranty 
2000 mi Volvo OnCall was not working. It took some time to upgrade the software to get it to work. Since this car does not have a spare tire, it's quite crucial to have OnCall work. Surprisingly it did not work off the door. 
11000 mi Foot motion sensor drew too much current when car was parking. It drained the battery in 2-3 weeks.
