Persistent rumors that Ford will drop the line; Sable has already been dropped. The Milan Premier, although touted by Mercury as an upscale car, is nothing more than a re-badged Fusion and not as comfortable as my 2000 Taurus.

4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4 5-speed automatic FWD
Ford is not known for beating the Japanese in reliability. But at the time I bought this the Milan was rated more trouble free than Camry by consumer reports. I have only added gas and oil. It runs the same at 54K as 18K.
