Cadillac DTS Real Gas Mileage: Pros

2009 4dr Sedan 275-horsepower 4.6L V8
4-speed automatic FWD
I bought this car almost specifically for my "road" car, for trips, but do occasionally use it around town. I don't know how the other reviewers are driving their cars but I get what I think is great mileage, mid-teens around town and 28-29mgh on trips/hwy at 75MPH. I do try to drive easy to enhance my mileage. see full Cadillac DTS review
2006 4dr Sedan 275-horsepower 4.6L V8
4-speed automatic FWD
Great Milage for the level of comfort, 25 plus on trips. see full Cadillac DTS review
2006 4dr Sedan 275-horsepower 4.6L V8
4-speed automatic FWD
Great on the highway. At 65 I get a consistant 25mpg. The city is an entirely different story. In stop and go city driving, the best I've ever gotten is 10mpg. The average is 8mpg. The EPA estimates 17 in the city. They are off their rocker. This car sucks gas in city driving. Stay away unless you have tons of money or own an oil refinery. see full Cadillac DTS review

Terrible in the city. 8 mpg on average. At least it takes regular. see full Cadillac DTS review
2006 4dr Sedan 275-horsepower 4.6L V8

City gas mileage is pathetic. Since new I was lucky to get 10 mpg in the city, but in stop and go it's 8 mpg. When the car was newer, I took it to the dealer, and they checked everything out. I was told that it's a big V8. The Northstar engine is an embarrassment. see full Cadillac DTS review

Dismal, especially considering the interior capacity of the vehicle. see full Land Rover Discovery review

2000 4dr SUV 188-horsepower 4.0L V8

Well its terrible, I get 11-13miles, maybe a little more on the highway with cruise control and minimal braking. Absolutely terrible. Worse than a hummer. Better at offroading than a hummer though! see full Land Rover Discovery review
