2011 4dr SUV 182-horsepower 2.4L I4

Rear seat slides 8" forward and back. In the back position, excellent leg room for adults. When slid forward, good rear cargo room. see full Chevrolet Equinox review
2011 4dr SUV 182-horsepower 2.4L I4

It gets more comfortable the more I drive and I do take long drives at times see full Chevrolet Equinox review

2010 4dr SUV 182-horsepower 2.4L I4

The equinox was one of the very few cars that could swallow both a double stroller and two infant seats with ease. see full Chevrolet Equinox review
2010 4dr SUV 182-horsepower 2.4L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Front seat comfort and room is great. Driver side lumbar support continues to work great. see full Chevrolet Equinox review
2010 4dr SUV 182-horsepower 2.4L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
We really like the track sliding nature of the rear seat. Give passengers in the back plenty of leg room. Also, the large rear doors make it quite easy for our aging parents to get in and out of this vehicle. This feature, more than any other, really "sold" us on the Chevy Equinox. see full Chevrolet Equinox review
2010 Chevrolet Equinox Seat Room and Comfort: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2011 4dr SUV 182-horsepower 2.4L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Front seats are not very supportive, and you sink down into them see full Chevrolet Equinox review
2010 4dr SUV 182-horsepower 2.4L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
I like the firmness of the front seats, but others may have an issue with it. Seat width leans to the narrow side however, and shoulder room is merely adequate. see full Chevrolet Equinox review
2010 4dr SUV 182-horsepower 2.4L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Rear seat legroom is phenominal (and one of the big reasons I chose the Equinox) when you slide it all the way back. This is the first vehicle I've owned where you can fit 4 6'+ people without anyone having to readjust their seats or compromise in any way. The rear seats also recline to a small degree which is an added bonus. see full Chevrolet Equinox review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Powertrain of the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox

2010 Chevrolet Equinox Powertrain: Pros

6-speed shiftable automatic AWD
Adequate power, smooth shifting. see full Chevrolet Equinox review
2010 4dr SUV 182-horsepower 2.4L I4

6 speed is so smooth. see full Chevrolet Equinox review
2010 4dr SUV 182-horsepower 2.4L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
Performance from the 182hp I4 is adequate and works well around town and cruising on the freeway. Power delivery is smooth for a 4 banger, and the only time you wish you had more power is climbing steep hills and trying to accelerate from a low speed to highway speeds on an on-ramp. Fuel economy is good as well..I've seen a high of 33.2mpg under perfect conditions and a low of 27 under less than ideal. Around town I get anywhere from 19-24 mpg which is acceptable. see full Chevrolet Equinox review
2010 Chevrolet Equinox Powertrain: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2011 4dr SUV 182-horsepower 2.4L I4

Appears to labor on acceleration unless pushing the gas pedal down aggressively. see full Chevrolet Equinox review
