2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pros and Cons Member2291 Front axel seal, MAF sensor, transmission shifting poorly at 105,000 already. I think it now has a fuel pump issue also, along with some EVAP emissions code. Fuel pumps go out on these frequently after 100,000 miles. |

2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pros and Cons Member4464 I had currently owned a Dodge Ram 1500 I bought new in 2000 and it became a major repair magnet. Two new engines, rebuilt transmission etc. The Silverados my friends have owned for years have been very reliable. |
|
2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pros and Cons Member1311 I decided on the Silverado because of its reliable 5.3L engine, which there are Chevrolets with these engines with over 200k still on the road; I also went with the Silverado because of my past experience with Chevrolets |

2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pros and Cons A member in Minnesota, United States The truck looks very aggressive. Even more so when Chevrolet updated the grille and hood for 2006. Also, it is a normal-sized 1/2 ton...not the jumbo size that the F-150 is. |

2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pros and Cons A member in South Dakota, United States Granted this is a truck but I did not like the fact that I was getting 14 mpg when the price of fuel was skyrocketing. This was never a good choice for fuel mileage. |
|
2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pros and Cons Member1703 The Silverado uses small buttons for the radio and (optional dual zone) climate controls. Because of the long reach to the radio, the size of the buttons is a hindrance. The dual zone climate controls use a mass of buttons that are not intuitive to use. |

2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pros and Cons A member in Illinois, United States I previously owned a 1997 Silverado and had no mechanical problems to speak of in 11 years. I loved the acceleration and handling. This truck is still in the family as I have given it to my son who shares my affection for the vehicle. |
