The black plastic trim on the drivers door flew off while driving about 70 mph. We heard a buzzing or viberation on the drivers window and all of a sudden a loud snap. Luckily I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the plastic trim fly missing a car that was about to pass. Talked with the dealer and they replace a couple of these a week. He check the other black plastic trim pieces on both sides and a couple were loose. The replacement trim have been improved and this won't happen with the new replacement piece. I asked if it was covered, but no. I believe it was a design problem on 2015 and some 2016 Suburbans. Found others, on the internet, that have had the problem. Luckily no one was following close or someone had their hand out the drivers side rear window. |

I was able to trade the old panel that had the chrome door pull handle as well as the heated and cooled seat control for the small trim pieces that were missing. I also ordered and put new stickers over the worn off HVAC control buttons to make them look new again. |
