Reviewed: 2005 Dodge Dakota

4dr Extended Cab 6.5ft bed 230-horsepower 4.7L V8 5-speed automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range

Why the 2005 Dodge Dakota?

Cargo capacity

Highest cargo and towing capacity in class. Largest bed in class. I do not want a full-size truck but still need the ability to tow and haul larger items.

Front seat room

Largest cab with the most usable room in class. I only purchase mid-size trucks and was tired of being cramped in other mid-size trucks I had previously owned.

Feature availability

Heavy duty towing package, 6.5 ft. bed, available V-8 with decent torque for towing/hauling.

Discounts & incentives

I purchased my Dakota with employee pricing plus $3500 in cash incentives. Very significant savings that gave me a lot of truck for my money.

Ride smoothness

Very soft ride (almost too soft) for a truck that can haul and tow this much. I nice change from the previous mid-size trucks I owned that rode like a brick.
