Why the 2005 Ford Escape?

Driving position & visibility

Easy to see out of and park. The Escape has a great driving position.

Cargo capacity

Very nice cargo capacity, and I even towed with mine, despite it being a 4cylinder stick shift, front-wheel-drive.

Handling

With the lighter weight of the front wheel drive platform, the Escape was actually fun to toss around. I found this to be a definite plus.

Reliability & durability

I put over 90000 miles on my Escape with ZERO issues. ZERO.

Why Not the 2005 Ford Escape?

Powertrain performance

The powertrain was flawless except for the clutch take-up in moist weather. The clutch chatter was unbearable and was ultimately why I traded it in. If I had the automatic, I probably would have kept the Escape.
