Introduction

I bought this vehicle primarily based on it's advertised highway fuel spec of 32 mpg. I'm pleased with the vehicle in most regards, good handling and ride but max highway mpg is only 26-27, not what I thought I was buying.

Why the 2010 GMC Terrain?

Why Not the 2010 GMC Terrain?

Fuel economy

Vehicle doesn't come close to 32 mpg highway spec. Average is 26-27 mpg. Big disappointment given the marketing of the vehicle.

Cargo capacity

Rear cargo capacity is adequate but rear wheel wells intrude too much into cargo space making for narrow width. Rear saet doesn't fold flat limiting cargo carrying space.

Audio & nav systems

Full featured audio system with XM and iPod capability but sound quality is lacking.

Conclusion

If you can live with the subpar fuel economy, not a bad vehicle and probably still very competitive in it's class.
