The 1.8 performed well for every day use, reliable. Not quirky. see full Honda Civic review
2011 Honda Civic Powertrain: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2010 4dr Sedan 140-horsepower 1.8L I4
5-speed manual FWD
You really need to have themotor spinning in order to get any meaningful power out of it. If you need to pass someone, even below highway speeds, you need to downshift two gears and floor it. By the time you do that, it usually is no longer safe to pass see full Honda Civic review

2011 Honda Civic Tires: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2011 2dr Coupe 140-horsepower 1.8L I4

Had Bridgestone Turanza tires from factory, replaced at 37,000 miles. Bought Cooper All seasons, they were not good. Replaced with Goodyear Assurance, way better. see full Honda Civic review
