60760 mi

C $600
Plastic paneling on the inside of the trunk (hatch) door had become partially detached from the metal exterior portion of the door due to one or some of the plastic clips becoming broken or dislodged. The missing/broken plastic clips were replaced and the interior plastic panel was reattached to the metal exterior. However, after the car had been returned to me, the entire plastic panel detached from the door when I tried to close the trunk door, suggesting that the panel had not been reattached properly in the shop. I reattached the panel, but now the panel rattles/squeaks more than it did prior to this repair being attempted. I believe that there are still some clips that may be missing.

The Fit has a known issue where body sealant between the upper rear quarter panels and the roof panel develops cracks, allowing water to seep into the spare tire well. I decided to check to see if mine was leaking and found that it was. I applied fresh 3M body sealant into the cracks, which seems to have resolved the issue.

34000 mi I believe this was the result of the repair in Feb 07 of the front small side window. The dash/windshield ratttled badly, especially in the cold. I think it was because they took apart the dash when they fixed the window in Feb 07.

214000 mi

After several days of heavy rain, I found a large quantity of water on the floor in the rear seat area, on both sides. Water was over 1" deep on both sides. Additionally, I found over 1" of water in the spare tire area. I shop vacuumed over 2 gallons of water out of the car overall. For the rear hatch area leak, I sealed the roof rails with RTV on both sides, as recommended online. For the rear floor leaks, I removed both rear door panels, and replaced the seal on the vapor barrier, which had failed, again following advice I found online for similar leaks with 2007 Honda Fits.
