What Our Members Are Saying about the Seat Room and Comfort of the 2010 Honda Odyssey

2010 Honda Odyssey Seat Room and Comfort: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2011 4dr Minivan, ext. 247-horsepower 3.5L V6 w/DoD
5-speed automatic FWD
The Odyssey has the best seat setup of any minivan on the market, by a large margin. Standard 8th seat, which is usable, easy to flip the 3rd row, adjustable 2nd row without floor rails to collect debris from kiddos. see full Honda Odyssey review
2011 4dr Minivan, ext. 247-horsepower 3.5L V6 w/DoD
6-speed automatic FWD
Nice and roomy 2nd row, we really like the Wide mode seating. Very nice 3rd row usable by adults. see full Honda Odyssey review
2009 4dr Minivan, ext. 244-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed automatic FWD
Absolutely no complaints here. see full Honda Odyssey review
2009 4dr Minivan, ext. 244-horsepower 3.5L V6

No complaints for the second row. Have never sat in the third row. see full Honda Odyssey review
2010 Honda Odyssey Seat Room and Comfort: Cons

2011 4dr Minivan, ext. 247-horsepower 3.5L V6 w/DoD

The seats are still more thinly padded than the competition - and the third row seat angle is merely adequate. My mother in law noted that our Ody 3rd row is really like a standard seat - not "3rd class" - but the Pacifica made her feel like she was "stuck in the back". see full Honda Odyssey review
2010 0 Just acceptable. see full Honda Odyssey review
2010 0 These seats kill both my wife and my back on long trips. see full Honda Odyssey review
2009 0 Why can't manufacturers make the passenger seat as comfortable with as many adjustments as the driver's side? see full Honda Odyssey review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Powertrain of the 2010 Honda Odyssey

2010 Honda Odyssey Powertrain: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2011 4dr Minivan, ext. 247-horsepower 3.5L V6 w/DoD
5-speed automatic FWD
The powertrain was very good. Although I have had a negative experience with the ZF 9 speed (a rental Cherokee I had only for 24 hours), in this car, it was either evenly matched or bugs worked out. In practice, it was pretty seamless. The engine was smooth and power delivery very even. Large kickdowns on the highway were not jerky, even when I tried to trick the transmission with large inconsistent throttle inputs. City streets (suburban), I did not notice it at all - just as it should be. see full Honda Odyssey review
2010 0 Very smooth transmission with plenty of power on hills and passing. see full Honda Odyssey review
2009 0 Cruising at 2000RPM seemed effortless (OK, more driving in the "granny lane" than I used to, but who likes white-knuckled driving trying to maintain 80 MPH in the 70 MPH limit in SC). Yet when the "punch/floor it mode" kicks in to get out of a jam, the Odyssey has the power (6 cyl). see full Honda Odyssey review
2009 4dr Minivan, ext. 244-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed automatic FWD
Excellent power whenever I need it. see full Honda Odyssey review
2010 Honda Odyssey Powertrain: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2011 4dr Minivan, ext. 247-horsepower 3.5L V6 w/DoD
5-speed automatic FWD
Sluggish acceleration. Felt little if any better than our 11-year-old model. see full Honda Odyssey review
2009 4dr Minivan, ext. 244-horsepower 3.5L V6
5-speed automatic FWD
Lost a 2001 Odyssey to transmission failure, so I'm a little leery about this. Keeping transmission fluid changed. Also dreading when the time comes to change the timing belt, as that is very expensive. see full Honda Odyssey review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Tires of the 2010 Honda Odyssey

2010 Honda Odyssey Tires: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2010 0 Came when new with Michelin tires, too noisey. see full Honda Odyssey review
