2005 Hyundai Elantra Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by improfound

Materials & workmanship

The paint on these things is crap. All 3 Elantras I test drove had very thin paint. One 2004 had the clearcoat peeling of all over. The other two had tons of little scratches, presumably from automatic car wash.

Safety & braking

One had warped rotors. The 2005 I test drove had just had the brakes changed, and performance under hard braking was still unacceptable.
