YearBody/PowertrainComment
2013 4dr Sedan 148-horsepower 1.8L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
This is really not a con. If they offered the option of a front passenger power seat with lumbar as an option, I along with many others would likely opt for it. see full Hyundai Elantra review
2011 4dr Sedan 148-horsepower 1.8L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
impossible for me to check rear when reversing. headrests are too big. see full Hyundai Elantra review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Powertrain of the 2012 Hyundai Elantra

2012 Hyundai Elantra Powertrain: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2013 4dr Sedan 148-horsepower 1.8L I4
6-speed shiftable automatic FWD
The 6-speed transmission give plenty of pep, even with the tiny engine, and merging into fast traffic has not been a problem...however, with ANY level of accelleration the MPG drops like a rock. see full Hyundai Elantra review
2012 Hyundai Elantra Powertrain: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2013 4dr Sedan 148-horsepower 1.8L I4
6-speed manual FWD
Have driven a standard transmission for most of my 30 years of driving a vehicle. Constantly stalling the 6 spd manual on my Elantra. Again, Dealer is stating that I need to "break" the transmission in. see full Hyundai Elantra review

What Our Members Are Saying about the Tires of the 2012 Hyundai Elantra

2012 Hyundai Elantra Tires: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2013 4dr Sedan 148-horsepower 1.8L I4
6-speed manual FWD
The current 16" Continental Tires are so noisy and do not give a very smooth ride even on the most flat surface you can find (a freshly paved stretch of Highway 401). Hoping dealership will change them over to MXV4 Michelins. see full Hyundai Elantra review
