Why the 2006 Hyundai Tucson?

Materials & workmanship

Fit and finish are very good. Doors open and close with a very solid thud -- no flimsy tin can feeling. Dash is well put together, no rattles. Paint is very good, no excessive orange peel.

Ride smoothness

In my subjective opinion, the Tucson has a more carlike quiet ride compared to other small SUVs. The soundproofing seems a little better, too.

Safety & braking

Safety is excellent with six airbags. Side protection is very good, with bags for side torso and side head protection.

Discounts & incentives

Warranty is top notch, 5 years and 60000 miles bumper to bumper. This is on top one of the lowest MSRPs in its class.
