Spacious enough to allow my 84 year old mother to get in and out without injuring herself!
It may be a bit borderline in 100% city driving (19-20 mpg), but it gets 33mpg+ on the open highway, with only a 1-2 mpg penalty for using A/C.

Why Not the 2006.5 Kia Optima?
Only one thing -- the painted silver trim on the steering wheel audio & cruise control switches/dash/console does not hold up -- it wears off easily. I have removed it all and left the pieces their natural dark charcoal color; they now look much better.
