Why the 2004 Kia Optima?

Materials & workmanship

Considering the amount of money put into the car and the mileage in such a short time, the car is excellent. No mechanical issues as of yet. Automatic windows work well, carpet and interior fabric is excellent, except for stains from the kids and coffee!

Ride smoothness

The car handles more like a Buick, than a Porsche! I replaced the front brake shoes myself and had the struts done, too. My older brother loves the rides of older Buicks, Chevrolets, and Oldsmobiles and when he drove my car thinks it was nice and smooth!

Exterior styling

Has a classy look to it that most older cars and especially the newer cars actually lack. I like all aspects of the exterior and think Kia has incorporated a lot of nice styling cues from competitors that actually work cohesively. Nice car from any angle.

Why Not the 2004 Kia Optima?

Powertrain performance

I wish it had at least 250 HP and still had the same efficiency, I think with the new Sonatas Kia could pump up the V6.
