I am happy 50% of the time with my car... but its scizoid temperment at city speeds and environment make me wonder about this purchase..... Outstanding visual appeal.. I get constant comments about how beautiful my car is.....

Largest factor in the ecision
Having owned a non turbo ex which was a dog, I traded in less than one year for the E Turbo...
Strong warranty without having to pay extrafor the same at the competitors.....
Leather interior and superior drivers seat due to the turbo...
Why Not the 2012 Kia Optima?
The TURBO is very disapointing in traffic and at slower speeds and off the line... It performs well after 40 mph..... the normal operation of the engine, computer, turbo and tranny seemed confused at slower speeds and in turns and corners at slower speeds. It really needs a V6 with the same HP but much better performance along the power band...
Road noise on all models of Optima is pretty bad.. Isolation material in the suspension is desprately needed....
No spare tire in later models is rediculous.... dalers are finally providing a spare tire kit for a rediculous price...... they need to go back to a standard space saver spare as they previously provided....
Other Features of the 2012 Kia Optima
If power or the lack of it really bothers you buy another brand that offers a V6, ie Toyota, Honda, or Nissan and or Mazda.
