2021 Kia Seltos Seat Room and Comfort: Pros
Year | Comment | |
2021 | Compared to most other small crossovers, the Kia Seltos has a much roomier rear seat. Rear legroom is a generous 38 inches. Few people will need to step up to a larger crossover unless they need to seat more than four people. The competing Mazda CX-30 (36.3 inches of rear legroom) and the related Hyundai Kona (34.6 inches of rear legroom) have more cramped and much more cramped rear seats, respectively. In fact, the Seltos has about as much room for rear seat passengers as the one-size-up Sportage. (The Sportage will no doubt grow when it is next redesigned.) The Seltos' rear seat passengers can select between two seatback angles. I found even the most upright not as upright as I would have liked, but impressions here will vary. see full Kia Seltos review |

2011 Nissan Versa Seat Room and Comfort: Pros
Year | Body/Powertrain | Comment |
2012 | 4dr Sedan 109-horsepower 1.6L I4 CVT FWD |
Only subcompact we test drove that could actually fit four adults. More rear leg room than many midsize cars. see full Nissan Versa review |
2011 | 4dr Hatch 122-horsepower 1.8L I4 6-speed manual FWD |
The seats were ample, and well supported. In my last two cars (a Corolla and a Legacy) I needed a lumbar cushion, but not in the Versa. The seat bottoms also supported my thighs for enough of their length for comfort. see full Nissan Versa review |
