2006 Mercedes-Benz R-Class Seat Room and Comfort: Pros

2007 | 4dr SUV 268-horsepower 3.5L V6 7-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
3rd row seats are big enough and comfortable enough for an adult. 2nd row seats are the best captain chairs I have ever sat in in a car. Glass roof gives additional room appearance. see full Mercedes-Benz R-Class review |

2006 | 4dr SUV 268-horsepower 3.5L V6 7-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
The STANDARD leather seating surfaces on the 2006 front seats - way better feel than artico leather. The adjustment range to get things just right and the head rest. Very cozy. see full Mercedes-Benz R-Class review |

2006 | 4dr SUV 268-horsepower 3.5L V6 7-speed shiftable automatic AWD |
This has to be, by far, the roomiest Mercedes period. Back seat comfort, even in the third row, is unmatched. see full Mercedes-Benz R-Class review |

2023 Volkswagen Taos Seat Room and Comfort: Pros
Year | Comment | |
2022 | Volkswagen's "bigger for Americans" strategy continues with the Taos. Even though the new crossover is the smallest VW offers in North America, its rear passengers enjoy a seat set comfortably high off the floor and plenty of room for their heads, shoulders, and legs. On their spec sheets the Kia Seltos and Chevrolet TrailBlazer offer more combined legroom, but I observed more space in the VW. The top two trim levels include rear air vents. Why, then, would someone spend a few thousand more for the Tiguan? Perhaps they occasionally need a third-row seat but don't want a crossover the size of the Atlas. The Tiguan's second-row seat isn't quite as roomy as the Taos's, but unlike the latter it can slide and recline. see full Volkswagen Taos review |
