What Our Members Are Saying about the Powertrain of the 2006 Mercury Milan

2006 Mercury Milan Powertrain: Pros
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2007 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4
5-speed automatic FWD
I was surprised how responsive the 2.3L 4cyl/5spd Auto powertrain performed. Good open road response, yet smooth, quiet cruising. see full Mercury Milan review
2006 Mercury Milan Powertrain: Cons
YearBody/PowertrainComment
2007 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4
5-speed automatic FWD
I chose the 2.3L simply for fuel economy, but with only 160hp, it gets whipped like a mule at times to accelerate. The 5-speed transmission helps fuel economy too and does make up for some inadequacies in the engine, but the new 2.5L is a better solution. see full Mercury Milan review
2006 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4
5-speed automatic FWD
2.3 I4 5spd auto was rather sluggish and would be only considered adequate. NOT for someone that likes effortless acceleration, and likes low end power that a V6 offers. see full Mercury Milan review
2006 0 221-horsepower 3.0L V6
6-speed automatic FWD
Sluggish when need ending a quick start see full Mercury Milan review
