31 mpgs is pretty good. 590 something miles per tank is excellent. I only have to refill every two and half, three weeks. see full Nissan Altima review

This is the reason I bought the 2.5 SL this time. I had the 3.5 SER last and it was a blast but expensive to drive as it used more fuel and tires. This car is cheap on gas and tires. see full Nissan Altima review

Full size accomidations that yield better than 24 MPG around town. I have seen 35mpg on the highway at 65mph cruise. I obtain these numbers without having to really baby the accelerator (nice) see full Nissan Altima review

i have owned a 2008, 2009, and a 2010 nissan altima. my 2008 and my 2010 altimas only get about 33 miles to an imperial gallon highway, yet my 2009 altima got 44 to 45 miles to the gallon which is the epa rating for cars sold in canada. all these cars have had the same engine 2.5 in them and i drive around 65mph or 120kph maximum. my city fuel consumption is about 31mpg to 32 mpg which is only one to two miles different then my city. the 2008 and the 2010 altimas are the first vehicles that i have owned that get virtually no better milage on the highway compared to the city other then the one hybid vehicle that i have owned. this is very perplexing see full Nissan Altima review

Fuel economy is not bad, but with gas approaching 4 dollars a gallon, and Nissan recommending premium fuel, it still hurts a bit. Update: I just burned my first tank of regular and could tell no difference at all. (No premium or midgrade available.) see full Nissan Altima review
