I drove Datsuns (a Nissan product) in the 1970s, and switched to Nissan Maximas in fall of 2004. I have owned Maximas of all generations except the first (I did carpool in a 1st gen Maxima for three years). I have always been impressed with the features, styling and performance of Maximas. As long as Nissan continues to give me the best combination of price, performance and features, I see no reason to switch. see full Nissan Maxima review

Persistent rumors that Ford will drop the line; Sable has already been dropped. The Milan Premier, although touted by Mercury as an upscale car, is nothing more than a re-badged Fusion and not as comfortable as my 2000 Taurus. see full Mercury Milan review
2008 4dr Sedan 160-horsepower 2.3L I4

Ford is not known for beating the Japanese in reliability. But at the time I bought this the Milan was rated more trouble free than Camry by consumer reports. I have only added gas and oil. It runs the same at 54K as 18K. see full Mercury Milan review
