Introduction

I honestly loved this car for about 6 months. That's when everything went kaput and repairs began. Since purchasing this vehicle, I've spent over $6,000 in repairs. And not just minor, they were mostly major!

Why the 2008 Saturn Outlook?

Why Not the 2008 Saturn Outlook?

Reliability & durability

At 80,000 miles, had to replace throttle body. At 112,000 miles, transmission complete failure. Replaced at dealership. Cost was $4000. At 115,000 miles, purge canister valve failure. Car would not start after putting gas in. Replaced for $30 (not by mechanic) At 116,000 miles, power steering failure. Replaced power steering pump for $135. At 116,000 miles, front struts need to be replaced.

Powertrain performance

After 100,000 miles, everything started falling apart. Transmission failure.

Handling

Tons of trouble with power steering since taking ownership. Lots of knocking when turning but not going to repair because I've already put so much money into its repairs. Will trade in soon.

Tires

19" tires very expensive
