Accelerator peddle sensor was replaced, after 2 failures. That, according to them was not the problem. They blamed the "limp home mode problem" on the Cruise Control after market unit that they had installed for me before I took delivery of the car. The answer...disconnect the $300 unit......that they assured me would work. BS! I declined that solution and as a result when the limp home mode is selected by the computer, I pull over, shut down the engine, restart, blip the throttle and if the engine races, ignore the warning lights and drive away. A little inconvenient but not a disaster. I am however disappointed in Toyota for their lack of understanding and their total lying about the problem. |

Ignition Coils were replaced. Only had a problem on one cylinder, and it could have been a plug, but these Toyota coils have a tendency to eventually fail. I replaced all coils with new aftermarket ones. |
