For a 4 cylinder vehicle, the mpg could be better. (How about a 6th gear Scion!?). I average between 24-28, have gotten over 30 at times. Gas mileage is alright if you stay under 70mph on the interstate/highways. I actually get the best mileage in town see full Scion xB review
