Why the 2009 Subaru Legacy?

This car is superb in both wet and dry conditions...the Subaru AWD system is the best engineered in the world...this is the on;y car I drive in the snow as it is as stable as a mountain goat...surefooted and stable.

Driving position & visibility

Subaru drivers have a good view from the drivers seat and all controls come right to hand when needed. This is a nice comfortable family sedan that offers reasonable acceleration with the base engine and safe handling when the going gets rough.

Reliability & durability

Like most Japanese cars the Subaru is known for being reliable and durable. I have owned this vehicle for just over a year and with the exception of a leaky transmission line (assembly error) it has only required regular maintenance.

Interior styling

For a mid-size sedan the Subaru Legacy has a tastefully designed and executed interior. The fabrics used are of high quality and the plastics are for the most part soft and elegantly designed.

Discounts & incentives

I was able to purchase this vehicle at a significant discount while also receiving low rate financing along with some accessories thrown in for good measure. With a little research and some negotiating skills you can buy this car at a reasonable price.

Why Not the 2009 Subaru Legacy?

Fuel economy

The fuel economy with a 4 cylinder 170 hp engine is pretty disappointing at 22-23 mpg. The AWD system is responsible for some of the loss but I also drive an AWD Acura TL SH-AWD with a 6 cylinder 305 hp engine that is only marginally worse at 18-19 mpg.
