Introduction

Recently purchased the 2015 Camry XSE. I would never have given this car a thought prior to a few weeks ago. I rented one while my wife's care was in the shop after a collision. After a few days I realized why this is the best selling car in America. Comfortable, quiet and competent at everything it's a great family car.

2015 Toyota Camry Love Letter

Styling is such a subjective area for review I really won't try to rate it. You either like the new look or hate it. It definitely sets it apart from other sedans and stands out more than the 2014 and prior years. There are a few questionable styling cues Toyota chose to execute the design. Such as the the black false window on the rear doors. However it'sless bland overall than previous models. I do like the look of the 18 inch allow wheels on the XSE model. They are much more stylish than those found on other family sedans.

Conclusion

The ride quality even with 18 inch wheels and 45 aspect ration tires is still very good. Bumps are a little sharper than the 17 inchers but the suspension is so well sorted out it doesn't matter. Highway cruising will be a breeze in this car.
The Ultrasuede seats are comfortable for long rides but could use a bit more cushioning. Especially if you've ever been treated to Volvo seats, the bum never forgets! There is just enough bolstering and lumbar support is very good and adjustable. The material keeps the driver and passengers in place during more spirited manuevers quite well.
The dash is easy to use and well laid out. The six large buttons around the infotainment systems are easy to see and push. Entune is very welldesigned syncing to my phone successfully the first time. I customized all the features such as radio presets without opening a manual. There are a few more obscure features that make the manual worth reading but the system is more than usable as is. There are four levels of the Entune system offered and I have level 2. The sound is not bad but could use an upgrade in speaker quality. Audiophiles won't be impressed but for average listeners it works just fine.
The A/C is one of the best I've seen in quite some time. The XSE has dual zone climate control which work quite well. The fan is strong and the air that comes out is very cold.
The instrument panel is clear and easy to read with a customizable LCD in between the speedo and tach. You can display a digital speeds, tank MPG, trip MPG, miles left in the tank, music info and more. There are more than enough steering wheel controls to do everything you need and keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.
I used to be one who dismissed Camrys as appliances not worthy of consideration. I have changed my mind, this a really good car.
