Introduction

I bought this car used from a rental company and have brought it from 30K miles to about 170K miles with basicaly ZERO repairs (there was one Toyota-covered recall repair). I have not even performed any preventive maintenance stuff yet and this car still drives perfectly fine. Only the basic regular stuff all cars need like oil changes, filters, and brake pads.

The inlaws have a 2012 Camry with V6. Has good pickup as expected from a 6 cylinder. Riding in the rear seat for just an hour is agony. The seat bottom stops like items cushion is sitting on a board. My tailbone was getting sore. Interior plastics have a rough casting edge just like most everyone else from 2000's. It is loud on the highway as we had a hard time conversing from the back seat without raising our voice.

Sitting in the rear seat on the highway you could hear the springs echo le thrum like being hot with a hammer over bumps. The rear subframe feels like it is directly mounted to the steel frame without rubber insulator to take the edge off when the road gets rough. My Mom's boyfriend 2012 Malbu LTZ had similar plastics but a much better ride quality.
