Introduction

Overall, a very fine car to drive, responsive in its steering, braking and accelerating. 4 cyl engine has plenty of power in case of an emergency, and impressive fuel economy for your daily driving.

Why the 2012 Toyota Camry?

Fuel economy

Highway economy: 40mpg City economy: 25 mpg My average: 29.3 mpg

Handling

improved suspension makes a big difference. Soft and responsive driving, feels very solid in the wheel.

Materials & workmanship

Beautiful interior design even in the basic trims, better than its direct competitors.

Why Not the 2012 Toyota Camry?

Materials & workmanship

Some of the lower exterior plastic finishes (closer to tires and to the road) should be tougher and thicker. My car has 3 of susch parts broken already, at 24K miles, due to impact by road debris. Toyota could do a lot better here.

Audio & nav systems

FM and AM radio stopped working at 24K miles. I took the car for repair of this item, and I am now waiting for a new radio to be shipped to the dealer. It will be 1 week. Techs don't know what whent wrong with the old radio and will replace under warranty.
