2016 Toyota Corolla Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: No problems except mediocre stereo by Tolvateer
Tolvateer
I did a lot of research looking for a reliable, efficient, utilitarian car, and decided on the Toyota Corolla. I got it as a used rental car from Hertz. I have had it for 4 years and have had no serious problems, just minor things like the battery dying during the pandemic when I didn't use it for months.
My only real complaints are about the stereo system. The interface is crude, the voice recognition and text messaging features are already dated and poor compared to a cell phone voice assistant, the buttons on the steering wheel don't do what you would expect, etc. I wish it ran an OS that could be upgraded, install custom apps, or just display output from my phone.
