Reviewed: 2010 Toyota Tundra

4dr Crew Cab 5.5ft bed 381-horsepower 5.7L V8 6-speed shiftable automatic 4WD, part-time w/low range

Why the 2010 Toyota Tundra?

Front seat support & comfort

Lots of room for my long legs and seat is comfortable for the long haul.

Rear seat room & comfort

With the front seat back and back seat forward, still have knee room. The recline on the back seat is great.

Cargo capacity

The rear seats drop down when the back is lowered for hauling. We can nearly put as much inside the back seat as we can put in the box. Great!

Feature availability

The entire rear window slides down, thus more options with loads and air flow. The moon roof either lifts at an angle or slides back. Nice option

Why Not the 2010 Toyota Tundra?

Fuel economy

Average around 14-15 mpg. Disappointing. We keep track of mileage every time we fill up.

Powertrain performance

Four wheel drive initiation is not smooth on or off.

Warranty, maintenance cost

24,000 mile warranty made me leary.

Tires

Tires wore on the outsides no matter what I did, both front and back. In checking on-line, this is a common problem. Also have replaced two tire pressure sensors.
