I purchased this vehicle for several reasons (1) tow my track toy to and from the track, (2) start light offroading with my kids & (3) work. Reliability and durability were a priority for making the decision to go with Toyota's Tundra. This is my first truck and thus I shopped all the manufacturers. Toyota was consistently quoted and test resulted in the most reliable and most dependable. Torque, the SR5 Tundra 4x4 has quite a bit - no complaints about horsepower or torque here. The Tundra rides nicely, almost car like. No squeaks or rattles, trucks from all the manufacturers sure has come a long way. It doesn't take much to compress the rear springs however. I blew my rear shocks near 50k miles but keep in mind 90% of the time, I'm hauling a load that weighs approximately 1,100lbs. I've since installed air bag system to assist newly installed Bilstein shocks. I'm really enjoying the versatility a truck brings to my fleet. see full Toyota Tundra review |
