4dr SUV 260-horsepower 3.0L I6 6-speed manual AWD

Why the 2007 BMW X3?

Powertrain performance

The inline six, combined with the 6 speed manual, provides smooth & quick acceleration (0-60mph, 6.9 sec)especially when pushed to its limits. Depending on driving habits you can achieve overall gas mileage of 22 mpg.

Handling

The relatively small size of this SUV combined with a very capable "sports car like" handling, makes it very fun to drive, especially on long winding roads or when travelling on conjested city beltways.

Safety & braking

Brakes have a solid feel to them and when combined with its ABS & traction control seem to be unusually quick and controlled even under panic stops at higher speeds or slippery road conditions.

Cargo capacity

Seems to have above average cargo space for what I consider a sub-compact vehicle. I can fit two bikes and gear when the back seats are lowered.

Front seat support & comfort

With the comfort seat option, you can customize seat position to you preference, including lumbar and shoulder adjustment. Decent support for someone up to 6 feet tall. Heated seats work very well.

Why Not the 2007 BMW X3?

Price or payments

I believe the pricing is about 10% too high, especially when one considers adding options... also the dealer seems to have less margin to deal then other competitors (Lexus,Acura...etc...)

Rear seat room & comfort

A little cramped and very stiff seats.
