Why the 2005 Cadillac CTS?

Powertrain performance

More than enough power for a daily vehicle, and the transmission calibration is excellent. Sport mode is alot of fun on a curvy road.

Exterior styling

For a car that came out for 2003, they still look great and cutting edge. I love the sharp creases and subtle curves.

Front seat support & comfort

It is enjoyable to sit in for long periods of time because the seat is so adjustable. The heated seats are incredibly hot for those cold days.

Quietness

Even on a windy day at 75+mph you can have a conversation with someone in the back seat without raising your voice. It is very nice to get a little peace and quiet on the way home from a hectic day at work.

Why Not the 2005 Cadillac CTS?

Fuel economy

I get 20-21mpg on my commute which is about 70%hwy, and normally 25-27 with pure freeway driving, it just seems with technology today they could kick that up to 23-24 and 28-30 respectively.

Depreciation

I could never buy a CTS new because they depreciate so fast. I bought mine 3 yrs old for about 1/3 the price new, and that was from a dealership with the certified warranty program.
