2005 Chrysler 300 Pros and Cons at TrueDelta: Owner Pros and Cons by meuge9

Exterior styling
Great looking, classy car.
Feature availability
The Nav system is great. I also like the back-up sensors. All the features you would expect in a high end car.
Ride smoothness
This car is as smooth at 125 mph as it is when going 30 mph
Fuel economy
The MDS allows decent fuel economy for the super-quick acceleration and fun to drive factor of a large 8 cylinder engine.
Reliability & durability
I have a 1st year, but it has a weird buzzing problem with the speakers the dealer has never been able to fix, needed a torque converter at 39K and still downshifts funny every so often. Original equipment tires were crappy
Materials & workmanship
Everything looks ok, but for a car as expensive as this, I expect better than the aforementioned speaker problems. I will say the paint still looks great after 4 years, and the car is not garaged.
Dealer practices
Service Dept seems clueless for the most part. Never able to fix buzzing speaker problem that occurs when cold. Had complained about tranny & was told fluid change/tranny service at 37k. Spent the $300 plus, and torque converter crapped out at 39K. Hmm.
