Why the 2007 Dodge Caliber?

Reliability & durability

I have put 57,000 miles on this car with only a few minor issues after delivery during the first 3,000 miles. No problems since. Most reliable car I have ever owed.

Fuel economy

I have been getting between 23-25 city and 30-34 highway even at 70 mph. This is during the warmer weather.

Front seat support & comfort

I have taken many long trips and the front seats never leave you with any discomfort when getting out.

Ride smoothness

For a car with such a short wheelbase, it rides very well.

Front seat room

Plenty of room to stretch out.

Why Not the 2007 Dodge Caliber?

Materials & workmanship

Too much plastic. I feel they could have used a vinyl padded dash and armrests.

Quietness

The Firestone tires are noisy and the car needs better insulation from road noise and wind noise. You need to turn the radio up high to hear music.

Rear seat room & comfort

Not enough rear knee room. Hard to enter and exit the back seat.

Fuel economy

Not as good as I would expect. The Avenger which I own now get better fuel economy on the highway and is a roomier car.
